Thoughts for Sunday

Be still and know that I am God.   Psalm 46:10

I took this photo along with several others one foggy morning on my way to work.  Normally my morning commute is like many others - slow, unfocused, and without thought.  This particular morning I felt compelled to take the time to look around me and actually see.  I drove a different path and saw beauty I'd passed by a hundred times.

One of my co-workers has this scripture up on the wall.  I thought about it as I was wandering through the lovely area taking pictures.  Ya see, some people pay attention when they get a tap on the shoulder from God, some days I require a smack about the back of my head!

This morning I was listening and was still.

For more Sunday Scripture and a Snapshot, head over to Katie Lloyd photography.

That's true of many of us, I'm afraid. I love this photo. It is so peaceful.

Beautiful. Taking the time to stop and see is so hard yet only takes a second or two more in our lives...Your picture is beautiful, I'm so glad you stopped and listened.

So true ever so true - sometimes we get so busy it's hard to be still and focus our minds on Christ. Your scene reminds me of the scenes I see every day here in Scotland.

Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who doesn't seem to listen until God kicks me in the backside....but I'm always thankful He does it! This is a beautiful view and I'm glad you took time to be still and listen!

I love this verse! Your picture is so beautiful. It is amazing what we pass each day and miss, just because we are so consumed with living life. Joining you at Katie's today.

Beautiful photo! You are right...sometimes God has to work awfully hard to get us to pay attention! :)

This is a wonderful shot and scripture to go with it. I think we often miss the wonders the Lord have blessed us with. All his beauty is around us and it often gets taken for granted as well.
