Vintage Barn Charm

Today I tried to help one of my not-so-spectacular barn photos with Kim Klassen's yesteryear texture.  I also added a little canvas texture, to try and bring out the feel of the barn.

I think it worked!

I like how they started with one main barn, then added to the left, and then added to the right.  Sounds a little like the hokey pokey...sorry, wandered for a second there!   Seems that after all the additions, they didn't quite make it back to reinforcing the main barn again.  Hopefully it's on the to-do list!

It sure is a rambling sort of place isn't it. It must have really been a well used barn.

Yes they have been building all over the place :)You can often see that on houses here to, a little here and a little there...:)
Beautiful photo! Great texture feeling!

I love barn photos.Barns are not really something we have here in Australia... well, at least not as nice as ones I have been seeing! Lovely work.

I like your description "started with one main barn, then added to the left, and then added to the right." Reminds me of how they build houses here in Hawaii! Lovely photo.

It's a fine barn shot with your processing. It's interesting how the initial building is seldom totally adequate...thus the add ons. I do hope they give some attention to maintaining the original barn. Nice post.

I call those 'barn clusters'. lol Hope they get around to repairing the main section. Of course I shouldn't talk. We're still working on repairing the damage done to our barn by the previous owners. Takes time, and money. :-/

I always love your barn shots. I thought about you the other day when I stumbled upon a little pasture and barn down the road from my house. I posted about it the other day...you might like it :)
