Macro Monday Poinsettia

I purchased a few multi-toned poinsettia plants for my mantle this year.  I couldn't resist a few snaps of the undersides and little bud leaves in the middle of the plant.

I hope you are finding some time to enjoy the simply
lovely things in your home during this crazy week.

Those little cythia flowers are great especially in macro. I really like the way you captured the veins in the coloured bracts in the first photo.

Those are so beautiful. We had one but put it outside. It's normally warm in December but this year, it got cold way too early.

So beautiful pictures, love the green toning into red (or the other way around?) in the first one. Poinsettias are Christmas flowers here too, but I always manage to kill mine within the first week they are in my house :-( Don't know if I give them too much or too little water. I wish I could keep them longer because they are so beautiful!

Such rich deep veins... oh dear! You just reminded me, I forgot to get a poinsetta this yr. Must do that today!
