This week for Guest Heart Thursday I found one that was a "leftover" after a tree was cut down. Just goes to show, there is always something more to be loved. It reminded me of
The Giving Tree story. One of my all time favorites. If you haven't read it, try to locate a copy.
Also, in the neighborhood of this tree trunk were a few heart leaf friends.

The giving tree has been my favorite book ever since I was about seven years old. In fact, I love Shel Silverstein in general.
You have a good eye! I would still be looking!
What a wonderful gift left to you by a tree now gone from this world -- it's heart! And I love the delicate new green leaf hearts - happy Spring!
how beautiful...I love how you've connected this heart with the story The Giving Tree...one of my favorites!
Great finds. I read The Giving Tree years ago, it is a lovely story.

We LOVE the giving tree story here :) What a great find too!!
I have to try and find that story, sounds like something worth reading. Love your heart finds this week, one big and strong, one small and delicate :-)
