Here is my first tulip bud in the garden this spring.
You can see my local critters have been snacking on the them as they come up.
We'll see what survives!
These tulips were planted a few years ago in front of my office building. They rotate planting seasonally, so when they pulled the bulbs, the grounds folks encouraged us to take them home. Otherwise, they would have been mulched up and never seen again. So this is year three on these recycled tulips and they make me smile every time another one pops.
BTW, it was 84 degrees and sunny today...in April...Amen!

isn't it amazing how fast spring can turn to summer if we're not watching?! we were up to 90 here in NE Texas - and humid! :)
Lovely composition. It's good to see they are starting to bloom, critters and all, because it means spring is here!
Happy Spring (summer?).... love that your tulips are recycled. Envy your spring flowers (Florida's too hot for the ones we were used to in the Pacific NW)....Hope the critters leave enough of them for you to enjoy.
I cannot wait to plant my own tulips..and look forward to them growing each and every single year! Sounds like you had lovely weather!
Pretty!
What a beautiful sign of spring! These little signs have finally started to show up here too :-)
