Robin at All Things Heart and Home celebrates people's creativity and projects with a Wednesday link up called All Things Inspired. Sometimes it's crafts, some are home projects, some are yummy tasting goodies - whatever your thing, you can share it there once a week. What a grand idea, not only to get share what you've made, but to be inspired by all those other ideas. So here is mine this week:
This is in my living room. I have high ceilings in my living room had one wall just looking for attention. The others have windows or a fireplace, but this one was blah for a couple years without a lot of luck. One day, while going through my travel photos, I thought I must be able to use these for something other than a scrapbook.
So, I went to my local discount craft store and found these modern black frames with matching crisp white mats for a steal. I tried several photos and made them all sepia (to go with the coloring in the room) and then selected the five I thought worked well together. I used 2 with the perspective of 'looking up', 2 distance shots, and one vertical one of me (taken by my friend) for a little artistic flair. I even printed them out on my home printer with photo paper I already had, no trip to another store.
I love the final project! My brother (the artist/designer) came to my house and asked me who did the work. I felt like the Lowe's commercial woman and said "I did that!"
(I took this photo on a bit of an angle, because the windows on the opposite wall reflect strongly in the glass/frames during the day, and I thought you might not see all the details.) For more fun projects, please visit All things inspired when you have a minute.

Thanks for sharing that site! It feeds my crafting desires that Ive had lately and is giving me some ideas. Love your nice simple photos. Sepia is a good choice! I need to do something similar in my home.
very nice! your brother's question is the icing on the decorative cake! :)
Love your gallery wall. It is so rewarding to decorate with your own work and art. Nice photos!
Fabulous! I hope to someday get some of my photos out of my computer and onto a wall!
Terrific idea to use your own work to decorate a space that becomes uniquely you. We used some old black and white photos taken by my late father-in-law to create a gallery in our entrance hall, both because they were fantastic photos that were too good to languish in a box unseen but also as a reminder of him.
I love all the sepia turned prints!
Awesome! The pictures look so beautiful and professional, and the way you have displayed them is wonderful!
Great collection! Its always nice to see your favorites on the wall instead of stuck in a scrap book :)
I love what you've done here. When we get a bigger home, I'm planning on doing something similar.
you are clever, this is a great collection, I want to do this someday!
