Texture Twist

I haven't been using texture as much lately, so I thought I would pull one of my rose photos from the archives and play a little.  I used a Kim Klassen vintage texture and then a mat from Shadowhouse Creations.

I have been trying to figure out how to incorporate more of my photos with my card making.  Using a combination of things like this and then printing them for cards would be a new look.

For more creative uses of texture, head to Life-n-Reflection today.

It's the little things

Because it was definitely a sunroof-open kind of driving day
with the music up
and the sunglasses on!

Because I've spent more time this week
with spreadsheets and databases
than with people!

And because I was reminded today
how important it is to celebrate
the little things in life.

A Rita's Blendini
chocolate custard, peanut butter ice and Reese's cup bits
all blended together.
Yum!!

Please note,
I parked and ate safely,
enjoying every spoonful.

I hope you had something special today too.

This week's "Inspired"

Every spring when I go into JoAnn Fabrics or Michael's I see these beautiful wreaths.  I decided this year I would be inspired to make my own.  So here is the final product.  I'm not sure what prompted me to get the bright blue ribbon, but once I picked it up I just couldn't put it back on the shelf!  I love the color and for me, it makes is just a little bit different than others you might see in the neighborhood.
