Here are some friends that have already returned to the ponds down the street.
The later afternoon light provided some nice reflections on the melting ice and water.
I have to imagine the one sitting there might be just a wee chilly!
There were easily a dozen or so in the area. I guess they appreciated the 60 degrees last week too.

SO beautiful! :)
first time visiting from Weekend reflection. Your photos reminded me of my first Canadian Winter where I was taken to see thousands of geese in Canada, in Kingsville. That was a great treat as I had grown up in tropical Borneo.
Lovely photos. Peaceful and chilly.
Chilly I'm sure it is, but how contented they seem!! Love your captures for the day! Hope you have a great weekend! Enjoy!

gorgeous shots!! and yeah, i wouldn't enjoy laying on my belly on ice too much either :)
J'aime beaucoup le cadrage de la première photo ! Belle image !
Great shots. They look happy.
Nice reflections...we have lots of geese in our neck of the woods. They are fun to watch when they have their babies with them...very protective and will hiss at you if you get to close.
I like the new look of your blog Marie Elizabeth. Your photos are beautiful as usual! Enjoy your weekend :)
Lovely reflections -- beautiful, but aggressive birds.
Great photos! I love how it looks like the goose is walking on a mirror!
Awesome photos! The first shot is my favorite but they are both great.
Chilly but calm. Lovely photos.
Very nice! It does look a bit cold to sit in though!

What lovely shots!
The light is lovely in these shots, great reflections too.
I love the the textures and the shades of blue and brown and how they mingle, especially in the second one. Beautiful!
We're having jo-jo weather, it's the only way to describe it. Yesterday everything was muddy and soggy, this morning it's snowing - again...
Have a great Sunday!
I wonder if the geese that I captured in the sky in my photo were like these ones - we only ever hear them above us - we never see them land.
